Rattlesnake Ledge Hike

Hey guys! Oh man Im excited to tell you about our fun day while in Seattle, WA.  As you know, us girls love getting out and enjoying beautiful hikes. We heard about Rattlesnake Ledge and once we saw pictures of it, we knew we had to go.  Its great because the drive to get there was not bad at all. It took us about 45 minutes to an hour to get there from downtown Seattle. Its a 4 mile hike- roundtrip. Talk about being in awe as you hike this beautiful well groomed trail with moss covered weeping tall trees overhead. Its so beautiful how green everything there is. The trail has switchbacks as you climb the mountain with lots of great views to see the lake. Some of the view points may require you to take a short detour off the trail to get a better view.

Once we got to the top we were even more in love with Washington!  It is so green and beautiful… we sat there and soaked it all in. The lake is beautiful with all the green surrounding it. We bundled up for the hike but I still froze! So depending on what time of year you go on this hike, make sure you wear the right clothes. As we made our way back down the mountain all I could think about was how excited I was to go to Starbucks on our way back to downtown.I was dreaming of holding a hot drink because I thought my fingers were going to fall off. HAHA I’m a wimp when it comes to being cold.

Rattlesnake hike is a “Hikers Only” trail, so you need to leave your bikes at home. The good news though is you can bring your dog :) it is a pet friendly trail. We met the cutest dog once we got to the top, we are big dog lovers so that was another plus with this fun hike we did.

If you get the chance to do this hike, let us know how you liked it!

XX, Candice
